It's the thought that counts?

I was surprised to see that my daughter still had a box of See's candy in her bedroom, leftover from Christmas. (Surprised because sweets never last an extra minute in her presence.)
*
I mentioned this to her and she said, "Oh, yeah... well, I didn't really like all of the chocolates. I'm sorry."
*
I told her not to be silly; she didn't have to apologize!
She enthusiastically asked, "Hey! Do you want the rest of 'em?!"
*

"Sure!" I said. I mean, really--who am I to not be gracious enough to polish off a box of unloved chocolates?
*
Erin bounded off for her room to retrieve the candy. When she came back, she halfway tossed the box into my lap. "Here you go, Mama!"
As she skipped away, she said, "Oh, by the way--I took a bite out of all of 'em!"

See's! I will be getting my favorite when I'm in CA. You can order over the internet, but you can't specify one flavor, only the different assortments. I only like one kind. Yummm
