My little teeny tiny baby boy

I promised I'd post my survey on Chad's ideas about me, and here I am finally doing it. Typical for me--the procrastinator.
***
By the way... my friend took this picture of Chad playing (his 8th season of!) baseball this past weekend. Don't you love the look of both concentration and determination on that kid's face? He is so into playing. And by the way--GO, CARDINALS!!! They won 15-5!

1. What is something mom always says to you? I love you.
Also: "Quit fighting with your sister!" seems to be a broken record around our house these days.
-
2. What makes mom happy? Baking, or watching Regis & Kelly or The View
Or, you not fighting with your sister. That makes me damn near jubilant.
-
3. What makes mom sad? When we're sick
Or when you & Erin are fighting. Wait--I seem to detect a theme here. Interesting....
-
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
When she says I'm her "little teeny tiny baby boy"
I have the world's sweetest 13-year-old boy. Not only does he put up with my saying that, but he actually laughs at it still! It occurs when he is doing something to remind me that he's growing up way too fast, and in protest I say (cupping my hands as if to hold a 4-inch-long infant), "But don't forget that you're still my little teeny tiny baby boy!" You know you wish you had an obnoxious mom like me. C'mon, admit it.
-
5. What was your mom like as a child? She was perfect.
Just like now.
-
6. How old is your mom? 41
You couldn't have lied just this one time?
-
7. How tall is your mom? 5'6"
Ha--you're still shorter than I am! And also, have I mentioned that you're my little teeny tiny baby boy?
-
8. What is her favorite thing to watch on TV? Talk shows
-
9. What does your mom do when you're not around? Clean
I find it fascinating that both you & Erin answered this way. How do you know I'm not sitting around eating bon-bons while a housekeeper cleans up? You don't, do you???
-
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for? Charity work
That, or finally hanging myself because my darling children fought one time too many.
-
11. What is your mom really good at? Baking
And eating everything I bake.
-
12. What is your mom not very good at? Drawing
You bully!
-
13. What does your mom do for her job? She's an office manager
I liked Erin's answer of "A LOT" better.
-
14. What is your mom's favorite food? Hungarian Chicken Paprikash, green bean casserole, her dad's German dumplings
You do pay attention, don't you? Probably because we love all the same foods.
-
15. What makes you proud of your mom? That she's got a good job; that I'm not embarrassed of her
I take this as an utmost compliment, especially coming from a teenager. He recently told me that he's always proud to take me to school events with him. (I'm guessing he didn't mean the time I showed up in his classroom to humiliate him, though. Probably not so much that time.)
-
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be? Cinderella
"Cinderelly, Cinderelly, night and day, it's Cinderelly!" Now where did my adorable singing mice go? I'm always losing track of them...
-
17. What do you and your mom do together? Sometimes we go shopping
Yeah, sometimes I actually have money.
-
18. How are you and your mom the same?
We like the same foods and we have the same style
Again--utmost compliment.
-
19. How are you and your mom different? Age
Does it count that I still feel 13 inside?
-
20. How do you know your mom loves you?
Because she says it to me all the time, and she takes care of me when I need it.
I love to take care of my little teeny tiny baby boy!
-
21. What does your mom like most about your dad? That he's a cuddly bear.
It's official: My children share a brain.
-
22. Where is your mom's favorite place to go?
Either Disneyland or Phillipe's. (A restaurant in L.A.)
Great! Now I'm craving Mickey and a french dip sandwich!
-
23. If you would change one thing about your mom what would it be? I wouldn't change her.
I wouldn't change you, either. In fact, I'd keep you this age forever and ever. You are so precious, Chaddybear.

It was a lot of fun reading what your kids have to say and I'm going to have to steal this idea and do it with my nieces and nephew.

And "Phillipe's"....eeewww...they have saw dust on the floor and it squeeks when you walk on it! How can you stand to go in there?????

What great answers from both of them--apparently you have to get to them early--my kids just rolled their eyes when I asked them to do it.

And now I'm craving a French Dip!
